    Ohio November hang!

I have monday the 12th off and was thinking of Camp H at Zaleski. I would do Sat and Sun night. The hike in from point G is a nice short hike. It's longer than the trailhead to C but shorter than the trailhead to H. There is a small pull off on Big Four Road off of 278. You can park there just be sure to register at the trailhead and leave a note on your dash indicating what camp you are in and where you plan to be while you are parked there. From there you just cross over 278 and turn left, hike up the side of the road a hundred yards or so. You will see a small marked trail on the right that will take you to point G. From there you hike south to marker 11 and the reroute will take you north to meet back up with the connector trail to camp H. I'll either do this or park at the trailhead and hike to H. Either way it will be a nice hike.

What better way to spend a birthday! There is the access road to camp H but i'm not quite sure where to pick it up from.

Hmmm.... got it on the calendar, I may be able to do Sat. if I get all my chores done.

Welcome CB200T, hope you can make it out for a hang.

I intend to. My 1.1 nylon is coming Monday to make my hammock, and I should have an underquilt by christmas. I'll be ordering some sil-nylon to make a tarp soon too. Just deciding what pattern to use. Does anyone around here do any backpacking? Or is it mostly group hangs?

They are group hangs somethimes but we backpack to different sights each night ideally. I don't like to go to one spot and stay there all weekend. I've done some of the loops backpackohio.com. They end up being two nighters usually. I like to go to places where its backcountry camping and camp where you want. Of course Zaleski is cool because of the water availability.
