You might consider the Bruxton also. Multi fuel, plus propane option. Great flame control. I think mine was about 100$. I'm a gear junkie and I had the dragonfly and the CFL. Also a wisperlight both multi fuel and standard, a Gaz, a couple of featherlight Coleman's.
I'm now down to just 4-5 backpacking stoves, 3 for car camping and I'm playing with alcohol and sterno.

I have one of these and it works great. The only drawback is the canisters.

I'm trying to stay away from the propane canister stoves for the sheer fact that it is all they use and depending on the temp outside determines the canister pressure. If I put something in my pack I want to be able to use it hell or high water. The multi fuel stoves are my best bet. I am also diy'ing a small rocket stove for wood.

If anybody has a dragonfly or nova they would like to part with let me know.

    Hey ibgary,
I am a stove (and lantern) collector as well. I have in excess of 30 camping stoves (antique to relatively new stoves). My favorite is my first stove, a SVEA 123 (really bullet proof). I suggest you go over to www.spiritburner.com and take a look. Great site for collectors. VATriker

I really love my fancy feast cant beat the price and weight. Free for the making and weighs almost nothing. I do have a very old canister stove for short hikes or car camping.

Tom I have made a heinipot, cat can stove, windshield, and twistlock containers to hold them. I have used them on several camps. Not having a cook system is not the problem. I would like a multi fuel cook system with good efficiency. What I am looking for is a system that runs on readily available, easy obtainable fuels such as unleaded gas and diesel(I have a diesel car). If ever I got stranded or didn't want to be found for a while wood will work but it smokes. An efficient burner running on diesel wouldn't smoke and relay my location .

If you are looking for a white gas type stove for winter use, another option is the Coleman Peak 1. Really not much if any heavier as the tank is on the stove. I think you can get new for $60-$80, or on ebay $20 and up.
