I'm in Florida, where a cold front means it gets into the 50's. I'm in learning/reading/exploring mode. I'm reading all the talk about UQ's, staying warm, etc. Look at me...I'm already using the secret language (acronyms) too!

I'm wondering if a hammock sock wouldn't eliminate the need for pads and UQ's in average weather? Doesn't a sock create a microclimate that elevates the temperature by up to 15 degrees?
