    Am I nuts to try...

Using whoopieslings made from 1.8mm dynaglide. I weigh about 185ish. I have heard that you can but I also known that I am close to the limit. It will be on a 1.1oz ripstop DIY hammock that is 11' long. I haven't heard of anyone breaking one yet just by hanging in one. What do you guys think?

You would be just fine with Dynaglide. Most of us that sell Dynaglide slings recommend a cut off of 225 pounds but I also know several folks that are well over that using dynaglide. Just be sure to check them regularly and be aware that in general dynaglide wears a little quicker than amsteel. I have been using the same pair for over 2 years though and am at about your weight.

So I made the dynaglide whoopieslings from the green dyna glide. Talk about a mental stretch to believe those small strings are going to hold me. So I also pt my old amsteel whoopies in my pack "just In case". Lol

I had a set on my GTUL and I was at 205 before I removed them. The only issue I had was when it was hot out I couldn't adjust them.
