I regret to inform you guys that we will not be able to make it this weekend. some things have come up and work has been slow im truly sorry . I had my heart set on this trip I hope to see you all soon.

I had a backpacking/hammock camping trip two weeks ago, and had just returned from a car camping trip with several families (where my son and I, and several other hangers slept between trees) this weekend. So, I'm on a roll, and would LOVE to make the 2 hour drive to Columbia this weekend for a sprawl. But, it's trustees week at work. I'll be sweating in the kitchen for the next eight days. But, I'll check back here for photos, and keep my eyes peeled for more local hang events.
The weather is just now getting cool enough at night to need more than a blanket. I love camping this time of year in the upstate.

I'm already hooked up with the Facebook page. I need to get to work on my DIY under quilt before October gets here. Football season & homecoming always make weekend trips difficult for me this time of year, but there are few better places to be than outdoors by a campfire, along Blue Ridge on a clear fall evening.

Just a note....there is a Food Lion and a Wallyworld close to the park for anyone who needs to get food for Sat nights cookout.

Staging my gear and will pack my van Wed. Suppose to get off work at 1pm Friday, wife will pick me up and we will be on the way. Hope to be there by 6pm

my pack is almost packed (just pulled the tarp inside from the airing out....) and ill have the truck weds to pack the bike and other crap in, then thurs AM ill be heading out!
