Nick if your talking about the one east of Drummond, it is a incredible area. I have camp at Porcupine lake a couple times.
I like the area but then I might kind of swayed by the fact that its not that far from me.

This is the map for the NCT but it has the Porcupine lake area on it.
The pink line is the wilderness area. The blue is private property. The red is a short hiking trail that just skirts the lake and ends back up on the road.
Thumbs up for Porcupine Lake Wilderness.

Ya its all national forest. So we can do just about anything we want within reason of course.
Forgot to mention. The green box is where I have camped before. I also added a cropped picture so it is slightly easier to see.

Thanks Snipen for the map that looks great. I may bring out some ice fishing gear for this one.

I have never personally fish the lake but I do know The stream coming out of it is a trout stream.
Ok so it looks like the location will be the porcupine lake wilderness east of Drummond.
Do we want to plan for any large group meals we can all contribute towards? I can bring bacon. We should also decide how far we want to hike in, it looks like we could just hike the NCST for a few miles or even trek over a lake or two pending on ice conditions.
