    suspension issue

I'm just wondering if anyone has ever faced the problem of finding two trees far enough apart? In a wooded area I've never had that challenge but in the back yard... Yup, sure have. I only have three three suitable for hanging. I haven't measured the distances between the three but no matter how hook up I can't get off the ground . My custom crinkle is 11.5 ft I belive and I'm using chain links and whoopies. Ive made the whoopies as tight as possible and I'm still a ground dweller. I could larks head the whoopie to the gathered end bypassing the chain links and that would give me a few inches on either side ( wish I would of thought of that the day of ) but I'm thinking I still need more. I'm thinking that switching over to straps maybe the ticket.

So has anyone else faced this problem?
If so how did you address it ?

Could you just attach the chain links to your tree straps directly? Set a marlin spike hitch close to the tree, and just put your chain links over the msh. no need for whoopies at all. You would adjust by just moving your msh back and forth as necessary. You could theoretically get about 6 inches from the tree that way.
