    Exped Wallcreeper aAs Peapod.

After playing around in my garage with my Exped Wallcreeper, i have come to the conclusion that it makes a cool Peapod knock-off. All it took was some bungie cords on either end and BAM! instant warmth Has anyone else tried this? I am using a DIY synthetic top quilt inside and at 40 degrees, i was sweating. The bungie cords have just enough give to hold it snugly without compressing the down and i can even zip it up all the way and unzip the arm holes for a little fresh air.

That is great to know, that this can be done. Apparently plenty warm on the bottom, so apparently it is not hard to adjust so that there are minimal gaps plus no down compression?

I have the down version wallcreeper. I never use it because it is too big and it won't get me down to the 32 rating it advertises. When i say it is too big, you could fit 2 of me in it and then we could play tennis. I can't imagine who they design it for. So this is a great idea to use it as a peapod.

Here's the pictures of my Exped Wallcreeper being used as a peapod. I used some bungie cords tied into loops and hooked between the sleeping bag's cord-locs and a small plastic hook tied to the suspension with a prussik knot. The bungies hold the bag very snugly without compressing the down, and allow you to twist and turn without fear of tearing anything free. I am using a DIY top quilt rated to about 32 degrees (Climashield Combat), on the inside. You can zip it all the way closed and stick your face out the arm holes for fresh air. So far, i have only used it down to 40 degrees in my garage and was VERY warm in this system. I hope to get some actual hang time with this system in the next couple of weeks and will report back with pictures.

I slept out in my front yard using the Exped peapod on Sunday night at 41 degrees. I was using my DIY top quilt and no pad in the hammock. Very toasty. I had no issues at all and believe i could've gone lower if using a tarp with closable ends and a pad inside the hammock.

Wow, that is great. People need to look into this. I have a friend that uses his 55*F sewn through PeaPod in winter conditions by adding a pad under the hammock, but inside the PeaPod. He finds this very comfortable and warm. He never knows the pad is there except for the warmth. I wonder if that would work with this Exped pod style?
