Exclamation Why am I uncomfortable in my WBBB!?

Ok, first off, I'm new to the hammock world.
I searched for the best hammock, and decided on the WBBB 1.1 DL.
I'm getting some hypertension with out something under my legs, and a really hard ridge under my left left leg. I was hoping to be free of all that, considering the WB has the foot box.
I'm 5'9' so could the 100" RL be too long for me?
Is there an unconventional way to hang the Hamm' to solve my problems? I've been pitching the foot end higher.

I would appreciate any suggestions, I don't want to go back to ground! lol
    Thanks!

To make mine work I had to raise the foot end 8 to 10 inches higher...felt like it would be too high. How high did you raise yours? Took quite a bit of experimenting to find my sweet spot.

Tweaking the height will help. Also make sure to have near 30 degree angles off the tree with your suspension.

Slight knee hyper extension is a problem for some, regardless of the setup. Bring a small pillow or roll up some clothes to put under your knees. That will help a lot.

I had the same problem in the beginning when i purchased my WBBB DL 1.7. It took me some time to dial it in. I spent a whole month in Astoria Park trying to figure it out whats all the hype. But i finally got it right. You need to practice and get it to a point where it works for you. Once i got it right it became automatic for me.

Be patient and practice. For me I zoned in on not hanging it too high and trees not too far apart. Now i get it right about 90 percent of the time. Practice makes perfect. Hope this helps a little.

Sometimes it's about getting your butt in the sweet spot of the hammock. I try to stay pretty far left and up toward the head end of the hammock. Also you may find a rolled up jacket under your knees helps a lot with extension issue.

Foot end much higher helps for sure. Another thing is try setting up with different tensions on the ridgeline. Set up the hammock and try progressively lengthening the suspension. This will gradually place less and less tension on the ridgeline-in effect giving you more sag. If it gets more comfortable the less taut the ridgeline gets, then you may need a shorter one.

I think you have two problems, with two solutions. For the calf pressure, I like to hang the feet higher and increase the amount of slack in the ridgeline. I like to be able to bend it to at least 90 degrees. For a visual, check out the setup video on Warbonnet website. I like it even a little looser than the video shows. If you raise the strap height and loosen the suspension, it should get it done. For the hyperextension, especially in the right leg, I love a little pillow or stuffsack under my knee. I find I need that in any hammock. I hope this helps.

Ditto- It's the angle of the straps to the tree for me. very important. watch the video at wb website.

+1 to all of the above - be sure to try moving your butt.
Being off to one side can create quite a ridge. I try to flop and side around a bit before I start re-adjusting the suspension, it usually does the trick.
