    Western Mountaineering Pod 30

    Hey guys,

I just got a really good deal on a slightly used WM Pod 30. It looks like a sleeping bag, but does not have any insulation under it. (Attaches to pad for insulation underneath). Just wondering if any of you guys tried or seen this set up before using this bag with a pad or underquilt?

I assume you're the one who bought mine!

You got a steal. I do think it would be much easier to get in and out of when on the ground, vs. in a hammock. Bags, in general, are difficult to maneuver in a hammock, and the POD's half zip would require that much more yoga.

    Funny Money

Im suprised that It didn't get more bids! I have a 25F synthetic mummy bag now that I use in my HH, its not too bad getting into. I can't find too much info on the bag though, WM doesn't make it anymore. What was the coldest you slept in it? Also what kind of pad did you use?

    Thanks
    Jared

There is a good review on BPL about it. http://www.backpackinglight.com/cgi-...30_review.html

I never slept in it! It is like new, as the prior owner obviously babied it. I bought some other gear so I needed to sell something, it hurt to let it go! It is beautifully crafted, for sure.

Enjoy it, and please let us know how it works for you.

I will also be posting a nice detailed review since their is really only one decent review out there, but I need to subscribe to BPL to read that one.
