I would feel the same way cadam106.
Doesn't cost anything and only takes a few seconds to say "Hey, thanks a lot for catching and pointing out this mistake."
What would it have cost if you didn't bother contacting them?

I can understand if the vendor was rushing to try to get it fixed, but send the email after you get it fixed. And there should have at least been a thank you in there.

My friends son was in high school and worked at the local office supply store, he noticed that a very nice laptop bag was on sale on-line for $.01 with free shipping. He reported the mistake to his manager. The manager's response was mind your own business, so he ordered 150 of them just to see what would happen. He got home from school a few days later and UPS had stacked 150 boxes on his front porch. He sold them in school for a sizable profit.

Ha. That's life. You try to do the right thing, then get trampled over. What are you going to do? Hopefully you'll be able to forget, because that crap builds up.

Don't feel bad...I once let a brokerage firm know they had mistakenly deposited $100,000 to my account after they let it sit there for 2 weeks. I didn't get a thank you either. Sorta rubbed me wrong too.

I once bought a case of 1000 rounds of ammo at Walmart.
When I got up to the check-out, the woman scanned the bar code and the price came up $24 (and some odd cents). Basically, the price of a box of 50.

I told her, "That can't be right."

She got mad at me! She insisted that it was right and insinuated that I was trying to argue with her. She not so politely told me to take it or leave it.

So I said, "I'll take two."

She called back to the sporting goods department and had another case brought to the check-out. I was actually feeling guilty. But when I looked at her, I got over it.

You may have just secretly inherited Wonka's Candy Factory for turning in the Everlasting Gobstopper. Karma will come around pal, believe that. Good job.
