South Florida Hangers: Need help

I am trying to find a great place my son and I can go HAMMOCKING in south Florida or within 2 hours driving of Palm Beach...
Please let me know if you have a great spot for us to go as I would like to introduce Hammock Camping to my Son..
Preferably something with a short hike in and relatively off the beaten path..
Please let me know...

We hammock camp at the Primative camp sites and there are also about 6 miles of trails back there as well.

i left so fl about 14 yrs ago, but when i was there, my wife and i enjoyed FishEating creek.
it's a good place to start.

my son and I went to fish eating creek, which we now call GATOR KIlling creek, but my son was almost chopped in half by a gator jumping out of the water. Missed him by inches...
They had to call the gator boys to have him DISPATCHED.
Trying to find something with less Gator activity..

I went to peace river in July stayed 2 nights. Saw no gators.
I am getting ready to do a trip to Flamingo and a trip to Fisheating creek never been to either one.
