So, I called my local West Marine to see if they had AmSteel in stock. The lady who answered the phone immediately asks "Is this for a hammock?" LOL Cracked me up. She said she started carrying AmSteel in the store just because of people looking for it for whoopie slings. She also said that she sells more of it for hammocking than boating by far.

Just thought I'd pass this story along... I found it amusing, and thought other people might, too.

And FWIW, they have silver/gray in stock. I'll be going by tomorrow.
