Dang. A Whoo Buddy from the Shugster. I am humbled. You come on down to the next Texas-Style Big Time---we'll fill you full of chili and fajitas.

I am not only his humble manservant, cook, and driver, but his scribe as well. Holmes had his Watson, Scout The Wonder Dog has Sargevining.

Glad I was and Scout's family was too.
And I'da beena pinin if'n I hadna gone. It truly was a great experience for the kids, outside of Scouting, this kind of campfire fellowship is getting harder and harder for kids today to find. We should oughta do it more.

Thanks. Wisht we'd had some time around a cuppa. The only (very small) regret is that I spent so much time with the kids, I didn't get to spend much with the Community. Next year I'm coming down Thursday night.

They spent most of the afternoon in them, and if they'd slept uncomfortably, they would have said something. Last night my son called with all sorts of questions about hanging the new Hennessy---I think we have three more converts.

Its one of my favorites, too. So is "splendid", and this hang gave me the opportunity to use both of them in one trip report.

He likes the belly scratchin. He woke me up about 2 AM Saturday morning. At first I thought it was a raccoon or armadillo, but as soo as I turned on the flashlight and unzipped the net, he rolled over on his back to get some---it was all he wanted, and once he got it he went right back to sleep. He's a good ol' boy.

This is a model of what all trip reports should be like: lots of fun with friends, lots of food and the Swedish candle! Thanks for bringing us along Sarge!

Thanks for that, but its actually a poor report of the actual event. We were so wrapped up with the kids and teaching them how to hang thier hammocks, that we didn't have a chance to attend any of the demonstrations and discussions that made this the valuable asset to the Community that it is. Not that I'm complaining any, but our part in this was small and somewhat private when compared to the Hang as a whole.

Shane made an excellent report here with lots of good pics and comments.

And there's some good in progress and post hang comments starting here on the planning thread.

The kids enjoyed meeting you to, and want to camp with you again. Did you promise them sketti or something?
