For hammocks that have long runs of zipper. My 11ft hammocks and I had a problem zipping up the bug net - the cure is idiot simple and takes seconds to install and use. I used to just hook the zipper pull with my foot and pull it down till I could reach it with my hands - lots of grunting and groaning and sometimes bad language. Yes, I have dual zippers, but no matter what, one of them is just out of reach. Now, I just leave one zipper on each side.
I just attached a 4 ft long cord to the inside zipper and leave it looped around the side pull-out closest to me when I get in. To get the zipper further down the hammock, I just hold the end of the string and push it down with my foot. Once I'm all zipped up inside, I just tuck the string around the ridgeline. To get out, just pull the string and voila, your free to leave without fuss or needless contortionist exercise.
While the younger people who can bend like pretzels probably won't need this, I, who are old and stiff, find it a great helper.
