    Hammock Gear Phoenix questions.

I am looking into the wonderful world of down underquilts and I like the Phoenix so far. I have a few concerns.
Will the 20 degree one go any lower than 20 degrees alone?
Whats the warmest you can use the 20 degree one?
    What will overstuff do?
I also have the same questions about the 0 degree model.
    Thanks, JW

    Hi JW,

I've had mine down to about 10 degrees with warm clothes on, any colder and I supplement with a pad. YMMV, depending on how if you sleep warm or cold.

I use mine all summer long, and just pull it to one side to vent if I get to warm.

    Cheers

With supplemental clothing and perhaps a hammock sock, (I know that isn't the UQ doing the work but it can help) yes, you can get a 20 degree quilt to perform at lower temps.

With proper venting I've had my winter UQ in 65 degrees.

Make the quilt bigger. Seriously, it adds a percentage of warmth and loft but for more on that I'll look to others with more knowledge than I.

You're best resource is Adam or Jenny (Stormcrow or Thorwren). They'll spend time answering your questions and giving you the info you need. Others here are quite wise and I'm sure they'll chime in as well. I have a full-length 20-degree HammockGear UQ and it is outstanding both in its performance and quality. Can't go wrong with their gear.

    Enjoy the elevation

Thanks guys. I think the 20 degree would perform fine for me now.
