    If you are planning on sewing the layers together I would just make a channel for the shock cord. Otherwise, I would put it on the outside layer. I'm not sure how well that will work.

    Is there any reason that you want a double layer? This stuff is plenty strong in a single layer.

    Thanks for showing this. I've been on the fence about doing a foot box so it is nice to know even if I'm out in the woods I can change my mind with minimal tools. Excellent.

    The stretch mod is an easy to do alternative to a footbox. I actually like it better since you can sit on the side of a hammock with a stretch mod but not a footbox.
