I know Fronkey was talking about making a hammock of momentum (I don't know if it was -50 or -90 or what). I don't know if he ever made one. I'm sure he'll chime in here shortly. Here's a bump, anyway. Good luck!

I think MedicineMan had one out of M50 and I know another forum member has one coming in Nobul at around 14-15 oz. with double layer and bugnet. Nothing confirmed yet but coming soon and I believe lighter than M50.

I have plans for a prototype, but I have not had a chance to work on it yet.

AtHomeDad tried a single layer M90, but found the material was not strong enough and failed. He re-made it as a double layer with M90 interior and 1.1 exterior. Here is the thread for his second design.

Acer had success with an M90 hammock. I don't know the max weight, but it appears it may be okay under 200 lbs.:

Here is a thread from MedicineMan on the Neutron Ultra, a double layer M50:

Lastly, I know that Neutron was working on a Single layer out of M50 or M55, but the expected load was less than 150 lbs.

Pip is right that I was thinking about making one but also came across the problems ofit not being strong enough.

I have a dbl layer "nobul1" hammock coming from PapaSmurf.

    Nobul1 being .67oz /sq Yard.
Hammock with integrated net is 11.46 oz without suspension.

I weigh 208lbs so we'll see about its weight limits!!

Also the Nobul1 is quite a bit cheaper than the momentum 50.

Neutron made one .. Using M50 Micro Ripstop .. Putting together a video now all about it .. It's feels awesome to sleep in .. some stretch .. but not like taffeta or even 1.1 .. it's scary to look at .. think trash bag .. but now that I've sleep in it ..I'm pretty confident in it .. what I like the most is it's more wind resistant and you can notice that immediately in any wind I had 20-25 mph winds the other night .. and loved that I couldn't feel the coolness .. although when it's 80 plus here I like that .. as for longevity .. I'm not seeing any noticeable wear .. I don't think I'd use it on a thru-hike .. but that opinion might change .. I weigh 175-180 .. 5'10'' the hammock I'm testing is .. 114'' x 57'' and gives me a pretty flat lay .. 11' would be nice .. I have a :Snipe that's 11' foot and it lays really nice .. the M50 body weighs 4.5oz/127gm .. with a real world set-up in the stuff sack I'm at 10.5oz/297 .. Video will be out next week on it .. so stay tuned

The Single I made was out of M55. Little difference between it and the M50 other than micro rip stop and cost. I started with a 120 inch long piece. Looks to be about 114-116 finished after the channels. BlackWolf was suppose to give it a 21 day test but looks from his post above that he must have chickened out. It does look similar to a Garbage bag. Hope to have it available for the upcoming Big South Fork Hang. It looks like it has survived 3 nights with no problems. I am waiting to get it back from BlackWolf. I will check seams and look for problems. I plan to change the suspension when I get it back and I should get it down to almost 4 oz with Dutch Hooks. If you are less than 180, I think this is a viable ultra light option. The M90 is probably more durable. The M90 110*50 weights less than 5 oz (I think it was 4.7 oz) and the 120*60 weighed 5.5 oz. definitely the M90 is more durable. The M90 was tested to weight of about 310 without failure. Anyway, the thread link is to the M50 Double and morphs into the M50 single.

If you would like to test this hammock, I can send it to you after the Big South Fork Hang. I have one other TEST DUMMY as well. I am Trying to get several hangs to check for durability. Because of my job, I cannot get out often enough to get enough hangs to test durability.

I am still waiting for the Video Link from BlackWolf. Hopefully it will not show BlackWolf DOWN! LOL
