Here is a link to where I got my M50. It was close to $13 per yard.
Before buying nylon fabric of interest to kite-builders, be sure from the seller that it is not stiff, crinkly,noisy and brittle when folded coming off the bolt. Unless that is a finish and property that tumble washes out without damage to the fabric and loss of other properties you may want.
Well I'd say if it has the top of line DWR then it's already better than 1.1. Plus given m50 is so strong as it is with ripstop it should be pretty amazing.
