Got the zip. I'll see if I can listen once I get home.

I laughed a lot reading that. Particularly at the first when he was buying his gear, and reading his descriptions and fears about the mishaps and diseases you could get on the trail, like Lyme disease.

I dont want to cause any trouble...

I dont want to cause any trouble regarding copyrighted material so I am taking the link down. I figured that if I borrowed it from the library (free) then it would not cause too much of an issue to share it for free. I know that is a long discussion of gray lines and pirating soo...If any of you want to borrow it from the library too, let me know, I will show the section where it can be found...

Great book. I heard Robert Redford (?) is going to play Bryson in the movie.

Funny book if you have been in the woods many times. You can associate with some parts, some times. We have all had "those' experiences that turn into a laugh at some point - at our own expense or your best buddies. Gave my copy to a friend today for his use while kayaking next month.
But, Backpacker picking this as "The all-time best adventure book is..." ??????
Whatever happened to Huckleberry Finn, or The Call of The Wild, or The Old Man and The Boy, or Hemmingways The Old Man and The Sea???? Must be my age showing!!!! Guess I missed the voting on this selection.
Seems like Backpacker has been changing over the last couple of years. Anybody else noticed a change in style/content over their content 5 years ago?
