    Help me decide

I've read pages and pages after searching, and I've pretty much decided that the 1.1 dbl will be the one to get but need some reassurance before pulling the trigger.

I'm 6'0 and weigh about 235. I'll be backpacking so weight is some concern but comfort and not breaking through is more important. I'll probably be getting a uq but also like the flexibility of being able to use a pad in milder weather. Also the dl being a shield against bugs is a big plus for Tennessee summer trips.

My GF tells me i always overthink everything, so give me a push guys.

I think it's a great choice and most likely won't be your last hammock.

btw, a pad is really no more desirable in more moderate temps because you have to deal with perspiration they just aren't as comfortable. If you get an UQ, you won't ever go back to a pad.

You won't regret it. I'm a backpacker and long distance hiker, and I appreciate mine more each time I use it.

Welcome, Quietmike. Yep, go for it. You'll have more than one before you know it, and you'll find something you like about them all. Get off that fence and into a hammock! You can't go wrong with a WBBB.

I'm 6'5" and 210 lbs (down from 225). I've been very happy with my Blackbird 1.1 dbl layer over the past three years. No issues. Very comfortable and reliable.

I have both-an UQ AND a pad. To be honest, I use the pad more often. The pad I have though is made for the hammock-the Gossamer Gear one. Doing my first winter hammock camp this JAnuary, and I will be using both . With EITHER choice, you will be fine, I think though. And, excellent choice in hammock .

I had a HH hammock on the AT this year. One of my best hiking buddies had the Warbonnet.
Let's just say, I will be buying a Warbonnet

===> Had a HH Exped as a first hammock. Got me hooked on hanging. Then after seeing a Warbonnet in action at a hang, I bought one. Never slept in the HH again. Now, I have two Warbonnets (1.1 dbls). You will not regret getting one!
