We will need meats, veggies(frozen will work)instant rice, butter(lot's of butter), olive oil, breads, deserts, raisons, brown sugar, nuts, chocolate, coffee(real coffee)I know it's a diaretic but I don't careWe will have an epic time. Any other suggestions, now is the time to chime in and to stay focused on the trip at hand and away from side tracks. I'm excited to cya all there!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What I was thinking of doing, since the walk isn't too far, was to cook a meal with my dutch ovens on Friday night. I will be arriving on Friday morning, I can walk back get the ovens with the meal already prepared (cheesy meat and potatoes and apple crisp), cook for Friday night, then I can walk them back out on Saturday.

If the load doesn't get too heavy, I will bring another meal in for Saturday morning breakfast.

The trees there in the forest have a lot of branches on the lower trunks....makes putting tree straps around the tree a bit tricky. May want to have a small hand saw with you.
I will have one for sure.....it is a logging area anyways.
Also.....if your using trekking poles for snowshoes and/or pulking make sure you have "snow baskets" on them. http://www.rei.com/product/750197/bl...w-baskets-pair
Also....cozies for water bottles are a good thing. I sleep with a water bottle full of fairly hot water. As a redundancy I put mine inside a gallon zip-lock bag. Like to have a hot coffee from the hammock in the morn'.
Also be cautious and stay well to the side when walking on the snow-mobile trail. They can be pretty fast coming.
