For those of you heading up this way, have fun and be safe! My thermometer is reading -28C this morning just North of the hang. Wind chill is bringing it down to around -36C.

-15ºF up there right now))))))))
I'll be heading off in a timely fashion.
Calling for -9º tonight and a bit windy so we are getting the weather that we want.
Time to get up there and start sawing and chopping and eating and gabbing and napping and pulling and escaping from the World.

Been wanting to do this one for three years now..... Things just didn't work out. Looking forward to the trip reports. Have some extra fun for those of us who couldn't make it. I'll light up a stogie, stare at the flames in my wood stove and think of ya'all.
I was just down in Grand Marais last night. Wasn't too cold, but the snow was coming down pretty good. I'm sure they're all loving it.
Hope you all have a good time...can't wait to see reports and videos!
Shug, it was a VERY good thing that Kent went to Mt Rogers. I needed him there badly!Originally Posted by Shug
