Try looking for " Organza " at your local fabric store.

I think I've got some bookmarks on my laptop, I'll post links if I have em when I get home!
Really sorry Simon, totally forgot about this, one of my bookmarks was for the profabrics stuff here are the other ones:

Don't know if these two will be of any use:http://www.midgie.net/netting.htm

Hope this helps.
Oh yeah, dunelm mill sell organza as well at £1.50 pm, here is the link
Think I saw some organza in the sewing shop in the Grainger Market for £1/m. Cheap and local. Have you found a good source of down?
INSECT MIDGE NET FINE - BLACK
Stock code: MM34-09
This sounds like it might work.
Coimhéad fearg fhear na foighde.
The pro-fabrics stuff is top notch, some of the best midge netting I've seen.
I used the white "polyester aircraft" fabric from fabrics n stuff. Its a very fine scrim, the same weight as above and much stronger.
Avoid the Midgie.net stuff, its super light but may rip open again.
