Anyone ever add a center pole to a War Bonnet Superfly (newer with doors)? Is looking around 2QZQ website and I think I like the idea of adding a center pole. Opinions? Good, Bad and Ugly. Thanks Hangers!

that should be I was...not IS...dang it!
I believe we have done two. The only issue we have discovered....when sewing the ribbon ties to the ridgeline...because of the tarp's design....there is an issue with the rain leaking through the ridgeline. Soundman discovered this. In discussing it with him, we decided this happens because the folded ribbon sticks up into the ridgeline trim, outside the tarp. The area Soundman seam sealed, where the ribbon was sewn, was on the inside of the tarp. The ribbon acts as a wick, drawing the rain into the inside of the tarp. Soundman did some more seam sealing on the outside of his tarp. All the other tarps we do, have the flat fold ridgeline seam, and the ribbon is sewn on the inside, and the stitch lines are also sealed on the inside. This works great. We have an idea of how to avoid leaking issues with any WB's we may do again, including what Soundman did. PM us for further details. ZQ

Although I don't have a Superfly I do have center poles on both my MacCat Deluxe and Ultra. I wouldn't hesitate to add it to any fly.
Check this forum for my thread with photos. This is a great mod. Highly recommended. Just seam seal well!!! And get the loops on the pole pockets for additional tie downs. That came in handy this weekend. High winds came up and all stakes stayed secure the pole and extra tie down points were nice.
