Adding nylon shell to PLUQ

I don't know about your poncho liners, but you can practically see through the "shell" on mine.

Has anyone sewn a simple nylon shell on your PLUQ? I'm thinking of doing such a thing, almost like a permanent weathershield, with DWR nylon. That would bring it closer to the construction of a real UQ at least...

I really don't see the value in doing that... pl are really thin... it might help in a wind, but that is your tarp's job...

Thanks John yes thats the only gain i was hoping for. I was thinking how to develop an undercover for the Ridgerunner and i wondered if i would get the same benefit by just attaching directly to the underquilt....

I gotta rig up something for cold temps this weekend...
