    First DIY hammock

    Thanks guys! I've been a little worried about doing this project, but like has been said before, you just gotta go ahead and do it. The only thing I was worried about was where the netting goes in the ends of the hammock. After watch Warbonnets "changing suspension on a Blackbird" video, I kind of figured it out. I modeled mine after that style whipping. I used grosgrain on both sides of the hammock and overlapped them at the ends, leaving about 3-4". I made a loop with this excess and I run my whoopies through them. I'm not sure what this edge binding loop does, but I believe it gives some support to the netting.
