    Storing down

I know this has been covered, but I can't find it for the life of me.

With the sale at HG I had to bite the bullet and got myself a new 0* Incubator. Now I'm just curious on what's the best way to store it while I'm not snuggled up in it? What do you guys do? Thanks.

Hang it up or put it in a big laundry bag so the down can stay lofted. Some people throw it in a big rubbermaid bin too.

+1 on any of Fronkey's options. I tend to hand after a hike to help air out (even after a tumble in the dryer) and then they go into king size pillow cases for storage.

I keep all my down hung up, I have a bracket mounted up near the ceiling in my office. It is a heavy duty one I picked up at Lowes. I have 4 bags and 2 UQ hanging including my new 0 degree Incubator. They all stay nice and lofty

In you do the Rubbermaid tote then throw in a few desiccate packets to make sure it keeps dry, especially if in a humid reign of the country. Putting it away dry is number 1 though.

And Fronkeys advice is what you want to do with any insulation....down or synthetic, quilts or sleeping bags or jackets or....anything that's made to keep you warm and is made to loft up.

I put mine in giant mesh laundry bags and then store those on shelves in a closet.

I used to have an HG Burrow and I kept it hung behind a closet door using one of those over-the-door wreath hangers (which my wife has many of). Worked great.

NICE!!! I'm going to have to get one of those..."nut hut"! And I have just the space in mind...can be a combo small DIY workshop/storage space/man cave thingy!
