One good feature of the Redverz is that you can unclip the bedroom and completely remove it, that leaves one huge internal area big enough to fit a Handy Hammock stand & hammock. The only way I can see a fly working is if you can take extra poles to lift it a bit higher than the hammock ridgeline height.

If you get extension poles it may work out nice and compact to fit in with the Handy Hammock poles.
Enjoy and have fun with your family, before they have fun without you

It ain't trivial, but I was able to get various tarps to work with it.

I'm planning to get some poles and a better tarp (probably WB Superfly tarp) which would save me some space compared to taking the Redverz tent.
Do these poles look like a good option? http://www.rei.com/product/845322/re...ab-description
I'm thinking the 6-foot ones which adjust 60-79 in. and collapse down to 22 in. which is easily short enough to fit in my large duffel that I strap to either bike.
I have some Zing-it to make extra lines to ensure the pole stays upright and those poles should have enough height to get the tarp where I want it.
Actually I'd be able to stand upright to change clothes or put on my motorcycle gear under the tarp - I'm only 71.5 in. tall myself.

I tried a couple of hiking poles but they just weren't tall enough and the tarp was too close to the hammock, the hiking poles were not a lot taller than the Handy Hammock poles.
I could take the hiking poles to help set up porch mode, but I would need the 6 ft tarp poles for the centre of the tarp.

I don't have much experience using poles for a tarp. I even struggle to put up my Kelty Noah 12 with the Kelty poles that were essentially designed for it.

I'll leave the pole advice to the experts. But it should work.
