    How feasible would it be to make a tarp with two layers of silnylon, where one is say olive green and one is say coyote brown or olive brown? Then you would cut the overlaying layer in uneven patterns that hang loose - creating an effect of a "ghillie tarp" only not so extreme. At a relatively reasonable weight penalty.

    Not sure. I'd think it'd be a pain to set up and break down, but that's just a supposition. It could work...let us know how it goes if you try it! Personally, carrying two tarps would be too much work on long days; I'll stick with subdued colors for now.
