    Reality Check - hammock gear

I cleaned out the home gym and donated the equipment to my workplace. (I can still work out, but now have room for gear ) So, I cleaned up the room and it is now filled with all my hammock gear and sewing supplies. I now realize (my husband does too ) how much gear I have. Three sewing machines, numerous hammocks, too many backpacks, more tarps than necessary, overage of UQ&TQ's, and bins full of suspension, shiny bling, some Dutch gear, Niteize, S-biners, carabiners, tree straps, poncho liners, hammock material, and sewing supplies, amsteel/dynaglide and much more. How did I get to this point?? Looks like I won't be needing any gear for a while. Especially now since the hubby has a better idea of how much is really in there. He thinks I am outfitting the local military base. Oh well, you guys get it, right???

I may have to sell off some hammocks, but I have become very attached to my gear.

Yes, I agree, better to have it and not need it, and to have a choice.

Roadrunnr72, I have been telling my husband that also. I'm not sure he gets it though.

Over the last few years my kids are moving out on their own which is opening up seemingly infinite storage space for gear, materials and DIY tools.

As BajaHanger eludes, that's not necessarily a good thing - or is it?

If you decide to sell some gear cheap. . . you know, to help with marital bliss and all . . . I could be persuaded to help with that I think. You know, as a favor I mean.

Seriously though, I noticed just the yesterday the amount of gear I'm beginning to pile up, and I still need more.

Thank you all for understanding. This is like letting it all out at AA.

Lupus, thank you for the kind jesture, that is so nice of you to offer to take all this gear off my hands, but I don't want to over burden you. I love my gear.
