500 - 600 yards. Not far at all, just enough to be a slight PITA.

I hike in my pack first then go back for the cooler o'meat. Yes if Dutch is there it's best to bring extra meat. Or wine. Or both.

If its ok I could make this. Especially since cars are close and I haven't done winter a ping in a looooong time. Hopefully Dutch will. Ring some goodies so I can outfit my new rig.

I'll be up in that neck of the woods that day, But sadly so will the wife and kids. And the wife will want to stay someplace that has a roof,electric, fireplace and a real bed. I wish I could get away.
