412 miles... I might be interested in making this trip if I can clear it with the misses and sleep in someone's back yard Friday night Sunday night... It's a long shot, but if you never go long, you'll always think short...

Thanks Tim. Have you been in Texas the last few weeks? It's been 80 here most of the time.....But.....If it gets cold I'll will make another plan.

Brute....You should definately try and make it. You are more than welcome to crash at my place. (You don't even have to sleep outside...but I do quite a bit, so that's fine too)

We won't be in a hurry, but there are some decent elevation changes (for texas anyway) Hope you are able to make it.

I did Sunday night... had to test my new underquilt at 32 degrees. Wasn't brave enough to do it last night in 25.

I wish I would have known it was going to get so cold. I've got the new 0* incubator. The car said it was 17* when I for work this morning. That would have been a good test

But...I "tested" sunday night, and for some reason my wife expects me to sleep in the house from time to time.
