Thank you Ramen!
cool - regional page will make it easier to find "local" stuff.
thanks for the head's up.
No problem Owl. I am looking forward to meeting everyone. I hope to see the guy that I met at Woodridge that turned me on to HF.
I am sure my lil lady would too... but instead of shaking his hand she may want to swat him with a broom for diverting so much of my attention. hahaha

I was out there this weekend, 11/30-11/2 and the gate was still open. I am not sure if it will be open all season, but it was a sure was a nice surprise.

Yeah, 1066Vik. Regional page was a great idea. Leaves us more time to search to suitable hang sites rather than "that thread that was just here a couple of days ago."

I'm not sure if they've gone to leaving the gate open year 'round now, or what. I was surprised to find it open when my wife and I went out there in October...will be fine if it's still open on this run.
I'm thinking that we'll setup for sure at the trailhead on Friday night...but then if folks want to relocate camp somewhere out on the trail on Saturday we can talk about it then.
Weasel and I are going to try to get out there as early as we can Friday (probably early afternoon) to meet & greet folks.
This is going to be a "car camping" type run especially for the first night, so no worries about bringing too much. (I'll not soon forget the smell of WalkingBear's breakfast...sausage/egg muffins)
We're less than a week away now. Hoping my cold clears out so I can really enjoy this run!
If you guys mosey down the trail leave a bread trail, I'll be there sat afternoon.
no snow this weekend, maybe in Jan
Owl-
I have a late plane flight home on Friday night and Vicky has to work on Friday as well, so we will be there bright and early on Saturday morning.
see you all then
