I do that quite a bit, except that I never get a frozen butt. For me, it is a toasty tucchus.

There will be a stove coming along, but mainly for drying clothes and absolute emergencies. We will be cold camping the whole time and I'm going to be using a new insulation system I can't talk about yet. But, I will be testing like crazy before hand.

I just looked up historical data and the record windchill in the area I'll be is -71f by the new formula and -102F by the new formula. I am praying to the snow gods it does not get that cold. lol

Be careful about putting out a challenge like that, us Montana hangers love our cold camping. In fact, might be interesting to set that record on the "Froze to Death Plateau" (below Granite Peak).

I had a -30* night two winters ago, without a tarp so I could see the stars at night, so a record should be within reach.

    Where ya heading brother?

Also, remember to tell us about your secret squirrel insulation afterwards.

Wasn't there a secret modded pack from before that you forgot to talk about? I could be completely wrong too. If so, I apologize.

Since Turk has the record, let's base it off of him.

    Multi-day trip

    Hike in.

    Atleast 3 miles in

    Cold camping all the way.

    Sound good?
