Ok. I just want to be sure I'm clear. We are parking at the lot and hiking in to camp site C. A few of us are getting there as early as 2 or 3.
Is anyone expecting to get there after dark? Do we need to try and get some glow sticks?
Brute, is the trail well marked? Is it a difficult hike?

From parking lot to C might as well be a paved road... I have hiked it out in the dark when I had to bail... Shouldn't be any issue for any who can walk with a pack on... I just called and paid off the reservation... Just give them my name and pay your entrance fee and you should be good to go... I did it that way because you may beat me and the first one to a site has to pay and I didn't want to owe you any more than I already do
So yeah hike into C and I think everyone else is showing up at 10-1030 at either the parking lot of meeting us at C... I'm guessing yakfoot will show up and have snacks ready that evening but that's up to him...
With all the changes I say we hike the day away but still reside back at C Saturday night so we can enjoy the fire at Yaks place and then terry back to the hammocks... Not quite the camping I had in mind but smoked meat and cobbler are powerful forces...

Sounds good to me. I'm looking forward to checking the place out. I'll bring my camera and if we find a super sweet spot, I'm not opposed to night hiking back in after the meat and cobbler

Sounds like we have an able minded crew, we shall see how able bodied they are tomorrow

Here are my plans for the crew unless people want to do things differently. I will come in early Friday PM. Friday night I will have cobbler and coffee for people who want some fire. Early Sat. AM I will put a brisket in the smoker and beans will be going. Forecast I saw this AM was for 40 degrees and 15mph wind on Sat. night, that brings the chill to freezing. Wind pants or long johns might be nice. To fortify us for the night there will be brisket, beans, tortillas and pico de gallo so you can make brisket fajitas if you like. I heard there might be some adobo sometime as well. Cobbler and coffee again for dessert. There should be enough meat for people to get stuffed. I will have an ice chest so if people have some beverages that would benefit from time on ice there will probably be room. If everyone is ok with this, that is my plan.
