I'm not asleep... but that doesn't mean I'm awake.
I made it home... Shower time!!!!
It was 28* this morning with 20mph sustained winds, gusts probably 40ish mph... A little chilly...

Thanks again, easttex, for letting me borrow that underquilt. It really saved me last night! I enjoyed the trip, and it was great meeting all of you. I'm already looking forward to the next one!
Ok, did someone get hooked back up with their wallet? The park police stopped by my camp looking for "someone from Houston" and he suspected it was one of us. ???
"To turn from this increasingly artificial and strangely alien world is to escape from unreality. To return to the timeless world of the mountains, the sea, the forest and the stars is to return to sanity and truth." --Robert Burnham Jr.
I've arrived back in the land of pavement.
Pleasure spending the weekend with you all. Glad Lobatrain made it out and got the chance to experience a little cold weather hammocking.
HUGE THANKS to Yakfoot for the feast last night- literally the best brisket to pass my lips. Although I was stuffed from too much brisket, I heard the beans were delicious as well. I did, however partake of the delightful goodness Dutch oven cobbler- delicious. Also, thanks to Lobatrain for the awesome Adobo he brought. The feast was plentiful and we were all doubtful we'd make the mile hike back to camp. But, all survived and, for the most part, slept well with bellies full.
Can't wait for the next one!
