That's what I understood. I'm going to bring a bushbuddy. She said that container fires for cooking would be ok (I took that as "as long as it's in a container") ??

You might want to make sure they didn't say CANNISTER instead of CONTAINER, or that the park person may have misread one for the other.
I've never heard of a container stove.
Ya, that's what I was wondering. I specifically asked about my alcohol stove and she said that would be fine. I'll check again before I burn the whole park down.

Ok....I just called back to get some clarification. Dina told me "nothing that makes an ash" is the rule. So, alcohol stove would be fine, but not the bushbuddy. Sorry easttex.
There are fire rings at the campsites that we could use though. Perhaps we should look into that (if it's not to late) A fire would be nice

We can have a fire at the drive up campsites, just nothing in the primative areas. So, that's why I thought, maybe....just maybe....we should check into getting one of those sites for night time huddling around the fire. We could still hike the trails during the day

Let's just stick to the original plan. We can rough it back there w/o a fire. I can cook the Earls in my cook pot with some boiling water Or...even better yet, just cook them before I come and warm them up in my pockets on the hike in
