Just got to the group site, site looks nice...the sky, not so much.
...now where did I put that tarp?

Well... I appreciate the generosity of HF.net forum members but I am going to get an early start tomorrow morning. (weather forecast, Daughter @ sleepover, and threatening thunderstorm just seems to make more sense)
Our house got hit by lightning in 2010 so our family is a little skittish about thunderstorms especially strung between 2 trees but I am planning on leaving early and getting there early saturday morning.
And if it pours rain the trails would not benefit from me riding them. I am pretty bummed about that though

I will be there around 6 and I'm bringing rain, for whoever wants some.
I'm also bringing about 6 lbs of chili with no way of heating it, other than my 0.9 L Snow Peak mug. Fire, can this Dutch guy use your Dutch oven when you are done?

Looks like they've issued a Tornado watch for the area until 9pm this evening:
AS A STRONG COLD FRONT CROSSES THE REGION...THERE WILL BE A RISK
OF SEVERE THUNDERSTORMS LATER THIS AFTERNOON AND INTO THE
OVERNIGHT HOURS...MOST LIKELY BETWEEN 4 PM AND MIDNIGHT. THE
PRIMARY THREAT WILL BE DAMAGING WIND GUSTS...ALTHOUGH AN ISOLATED
TORNADO CANNOT BE RULED OUT.
Stay safe, folks. Check out the toilets--are they made of cement blocks that would make a good hidey-hole in a storm?
Keep movin', keep believing and enjoy the journey!
The bathrooms at that campsite are actually well built.. They're cinderblock construction at the bottom (top is screened in for ventelation). Heated in the winter, have electricity (outlets and lights) and are %98 spider free.. They also have hand dryers that can dry out clothes if patient..
Storms just started, everyone scattered to their respective setups. Pitter patter of rain on the tarp is lulling me to early sleep. Having a great time, wish you were here.
