Anyone got a picture of an OMW tarp with the pole mod installed?
Marty & Co make a helluva tarp. But the images on their website leave me unsatisfied.

here are some pix of the center pole mod.
here is another thread that shows the 2 pole mod...pretty cool!
thanks, Flatline! i've ordered the 2 pole mod and can't wait to get it into service.
doh! hey, that's cool but not at all the same as WL offers. check it out at http://wildernesslogics.com/TARP-POLE-MOD-KIT-TPM.htm
It is a simple modification. I cut some footprint tieouts off a used up REI tent foorprint I had. They have the small grommet rings for smaller poles. I stitched up the nylon ribbing to complete the loop and then looped them through the center tieouts of my OMW. I then purchased a replacement pole set from Bass Pro (ultralight aluminum poles) for about 20 dollars. They come with everything you need already put togehter. I reduced the pole sets down to three sections which is about 54 inches keeping the shock cord inside. I then place these in the small holes in the tie-outs above the OMW and it opens it up nicely. I will try and put a picture set up so you can see. It took about 30 minutes to do everything. The poles store nicely in my pack.
Hope this helps.
Thx. Got the kit from WL and will post a few pics when I'm able. Opens it up great and the CF poles are sub-featherweight. Sweet!
go over to forums under weather protection, 2nd page about 4 down you'll find hikingdad and his mod to OMW tarp, it sold me, I had 2QSQ do the pole slots and got the poles from quest and it is great. jim
I'm on an iPad so I can't repost the photos, but here is a link to my mod

For those who have the OMW center pole mod, do you find it necessary to stake out the middle/bottom tieout when the pole is in place? I like the tarp, but I'd prefer to use just 4-stakes.
