It's probably not going to be very comfortable for very long. You could try hanging tandem: http://www.hammockforums.net/forum/s...ad.php?t=63410

Noooo do not try it unless you want to wake up bruised and tired!

    two Hammocks on same tree

Tie Two hammocks to the same tree and use a spreader bar between the two hammocks

place your straps so that each is on the opposite side of the tree

I have not tried it but it might work and a larger diameter tree will create a little space

Like the idea of a spreader bar. I'll have to remember that if I ever manage to convince my wife to hammock camp.

I wouldn't try sleeping 2 to a hammock, at least not overnight. I would expect it could lead to some serious misery.

For naps it might work, but for a full nights sleep, I doubt it. A better solution is something like the Clark Flex 180, which is made for two people.

    http://www.junglehammock.com/models/flex180/index.php

Twice as expensive as one hammock, but then again, so to would two separate hammocks.

I sleep with my girlfriend in one hammock a few nights a week.

Please, sir, tell us what kind of hammock you are using to accomplish such a feat. Inquiring minds want to know.

At home, generally large Brazilians and Nicaraguans.
In the field, Genuine Draft's favorite to share is our Trek Light double. But, we have slept double in Travelers and Blackbirds too.
More naps than I can count in the backyard while in a Mayan.

So just how big a Nicaraguan you use? If this feller's big enough I'll check and see if he has a brother
