    Anyone seen deals on M-50?

My google-fu isn't all it could be! I'm looking for a very light weight down proof breathable fabric for DIY summer top quilts - has anyone seen great deals during the holiday sales season?

Haven't seen anything much better than what thru-hiker has to offer - their quality is also rated as the best, and they've apparently worked with the manuatures to produce a quality product consitently.

Thanks WRR and Thirstybear! These quilts will be sewn through - no baffles - and will need to pack down to sub-cantaloupe sized. I could just grab some ripstop form JoAnns, but theirs is somewhat bulky, like 1.7 or so.

I would recommend against buying RS from them if you intend on it being down proof and light weight... Not to mention that even with some of their best coupons, you're still going to overpay for what you get... Just saying....

Hey, if you guys have a plan/pattern/stream of consciousness for the design and construction of a sewn-through down summer quilt, I'm all ears. I have some ideas and I have made 7 quilts to date -baffled- and I'm always looking for new ideas.

^^^Can't stress this enough. It will be 1.9oz fabric and not down proof.

    sewn-thru, down, summer quilt

Hey, if you guys have a plan/pattern/stream of consciousness for the design and construction of a sewn-through down summer quilt, I'm all ears.
M-50 fabric at thru-hiker.com is 58" wide. That could be one dimension of the flat quilt.

3 yards, 108" folded over to 54" could be the other dimension.
