    Finished long ends ok?

Im in the process of making a hammock... Found a good deal on some camo ripstop at a local fabric shop. I was wondering if the finished long ends of the fabric are ok to leave as is, or if I should hem them. Also, is an ENO style end channel or a gathered end hammock better?

i would say hem all the edges...i don't think those finished long edges are really finished if you know what i mean. i used the channel end like in fronkey's video and it works great for me.

Throw a guick hem in the ends anyway. It will keep the ends from fraying and you can go with either, a channel or gathered. The sides aren't that important as the selvage will keep the long sides from fraying. Try it both ways and see which suits you. But then while you're thread injecting you may want to do the sides also just to neaten everything up.

I generally heat cut and then roll hem the ends.
