So I am looking to purchase a used scout or cub (I think that is the one for the smaller children). If anyone has one around that they don't use anymore I would be very interested!!!!

Santa better deliever!
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.
You must be so proud.
It makes me smile to think we're bringin 'em up right.
I'll let ya know if I see one.
Dunno if it's 'illegal' to post links to Craig's list or not, so i figures this would be the safest approach:
Google-foo - "Hennessy Hammock site:craigslist.org"
Looks like there's one in Winston.
But, as always - buyer beware, it's still craigslist. (but I personally have had good luck with CL... But ymmv)

That is AWESOME. I wish I had one for you but have exclusively Warbonnet and DIY. Good luck in your search to find him something.

no luck yet.....let me know if you have one you want to sell.....
I'd open the options up to an expedition as well. There's very little difference in weight but tons of extra room for them to grow. A lot of our scouts are already outgrowing their small hammocks. A side benefit is you can loan it out to adults if needed.
Just my $.02
HH will most likely be having their Christmas sale soon. I would wait for that if possible. Buy and expedition and get a Scout free! Also IMHO worth doing the upgrade to the Hex fly at the same time, only adds about $20 but more than triples your/his coverage.
All that said I might have an extra Scout I could part with. Have to run it by my wife.

If it is that is what I would do! Order now and it will for sure be in time for Christmas.
