    Old man winter question

I am looking at buying an old man winter. Was curious can you hang this thing from the ends without a continuous ridgeline? Or is it just to big for that? Also does it need to be seam sealed?

i have always used a continuous ridge line(tarp over CRL) with all my tarps (SF, OMW and TadPole) just because that is my personal preference. i know that the ridge loops are well constructed and i would not hesitate to go without a CRL or hang the tarp under under a CRL.
after a year+ using mt OMW i have not sealed any of the seams. on a couple of trips we had a bunch of rain and the only place i felt needed a bit of seamseal was the side pull outs on the porch side. the pull outs on the other (sloped) side showed no sign of leaks. on that, car camp, trip i spent the best part of 24 hrs under my OMW.

the OMW is my favorite tarp. i have the 132" RL and find it to be the perfect match for my Lite Owl.

I never used a continuous RL with my OMW,,and just for the heck of it,,I seam sealed it including the side tieouts just to be safe. Easy Peasy to hang with Dutch hooks and prussics on the Tarp at each end to move to fit the hammock. Either way,,,its a great tarp.
