Buying Mosquito net in Merida / Yucatan

I'm going to be cycling from Mexico down through South America. I was thinking about buying a DD Hammock before I go, but that seems silly when I'm going to a hammock making region. I'd like to buy a hammock there, but I'm not sure if mosquito nets and tarps for hammocks are commonly sold. Is there somewhere I can get a good net and tarp in Cancun or Merida or should I get the DD before I go?

You will probably find the locally made hammocks a little heavy and bulky for carrying on a bike. You probably should get your hammock, tarp & bugnet before you leave the states.
