Hanging bunkbed style with my son, new WBBB and SuperFly! First time post-cancer!

I'm enjoying the sound of the light rain while relaxing in the backyard. Got the WBBB and SuperFly today, so what better way to use it than a quick sleepover.

There's definitely a learning curve to bunkbed hanging, I'm not getting much wind blockage, and I'm 6-12" from the ground.

I came from a HH with stock suspension, and my son is using a HH cub... MAN does easily adjustable suspension work like a charm. Just using the stock webbing with double triangles on the BB, but so much nicer than repeatedly typing and untying the rope for the HH. I always found it hard to adjust the hang with the HH, the rope settled and stretched a lot.

My body is still recovering from chemo and surgery, so I'm slightly uncomfortable, but that's due to over-sensitive nerves in my legs and feet.

First time to be "outdoors" in almost 8 months, feels great! We messed with our hammocks and tarps for several hours today.

The cub is perfect for him, minus my dislike for the suspension. Ordering him whoopie slings today!

I lasted until 2am, my pad was too small. I stuck two in with Titus though, so I had to wake him from his toasty slumber!

My Incubator should be in soon! I've always been a cold sleeper.

I found hanging in my hammock a great place to recover. I just could not get the darn thing hung by myself. I can almost do it now.

For me I think it was a feeling of being so close to nature, being a part of the elements.

Your son is very fortunate to have a parent that shows him such great adventures.

Looks to me that the tree you hung off of would be perfect for two hammocks. Hanging with my son one time we used the same tree on one end and two different ones at the foot end. Hang off of two different sides of that tree. Now we were side by side. Give it a try if it looks right to you. Have a speedy recovery

esp in OR, see if you can't get the tarp nearly down to the ground
Rae Jardine style. I learned alot from a friend's book regarding tarps.
So when it is cold and windy and rainy, I pitch it so the tarp nearly touches the ground.
