    Winter Tarp Questions

I am looking to buy a winter tarp and I have a few questions.

I am on a budget, so I chose silnylon as my best option. I think that I have narrowed it down to an OMW and a Superfly. They are very similar. Superfly is a bit cheaper.
A question for owners of these: What are the pros and cons of each? The Superfly is a bit cheaper and wider maybe...

    OMW, 132"' 19 oz $145
    OMW 144" 22 oz $160

    SF 132" $130

I also looked at the Winter Dream but it is heavier and more expensive.
    WD 132" 24 oz $160
    WD 144 25 $170

I also want to be able to use it with a Ridge Runner sometimes, so would I need to add different pull outs to do this? I have heard mixed things on this subject.

I have been looking for one to come up for sale on HF, but I may pull the trigger on a new once my new UQs get here.

Any other comparable suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks and have a blessed day out there.

If you plan to use a bridge hammock in winter I would recommend a 12' ridgeline to get a bit more protection on the ends and for the bridge suspension.
You can always DIY pullouts, there are many ways.
Watch the forsale folder you can pict up really good deals on tarps.

I had an opportunity to get under an OMW with the pole mod this weekend....let me say, that thing is huge.

The superfly is very nice and light. You won't go wrong with either tarp.
If you ain't havin' fun, you're doin' it wrong

I have narrowed down my options for my next tarp to the superfly... It just work and when you look at all the vids and reviews no one has anything negative to say about it... Made of silnylon is the only complaint I have heard... But that's not much of a complaint... And being more affordable is just a choice...

That being said the pole mod option on the old man winter is appealing but I would use it everytime because I don't use hiking poles yet so for me it kind of loses some appeal there..
Live, Laugh, Love, if that doesn't work. Load, Aim and Fire, repeat as necessary...

Just got mine in the mail today! Gunna use my jacksRbetter
bishop bag for deployment, use some 1.7 zingit for the CRL,
biner and nite ize for the trees, and use 1.2 tech line coupled
with some shockcord for self-tensioners (which nullifies the
only "complaint" with it being silnylon). Winter hang for 2 nites
    in the Allegheny with TheBrewGuy...

Xmas came early for this hangman!

    Woot-WOOT!!!
