I like a double layer, and I like to sleep on a pad sometimes. I love my UQ and find it so very comfy. This past weekend here in SC there was a lot of moisture in the air and my UQ was damp two nights in a row. I mean really damp. The third night I put the pad in and left the UQ in the gear room to dry out. It was much better, and didn't have so much dampness in the morning. I think there is a place for both, and so I have single layer and double layer, and UQ and pads. I use what I think will be needed, depending on the weather conditions and location.
