    Figure 8 Knot

    I've used a Figure 8 knot in my straps. Got the tip from one of Grizz's videos on suspension systems (video can be found on here and YouTube).

    +1 on the figure-8 knot. Or you can also use the Water Knot to create a loop which is just as secure as the Fig. 8. In either case make sure to leave several inches of tail for safety.

    I've used a gigantic prusic knot, adjustability for height on those trees are great, but the weight was just too much. hehe.

    Use the k.i.s.s. method and you'll be alright.
